Every case is different, so you should not assume anything about your particular case based on anything stated on this website. You should personally consult an attorney for specific advice regarding your individual situation, and nothing anywhere on this website is intended to give you advice of any kind.  We invite you to contact us and welcome your calls, letters and electronic mail.  Simply contacting us does not create an attorney-client relationship.  If we agree to take any action on your behalf will specifically tell you so in writing. If we do not agree in writing that we represent you and are taking some specific action(s) on your behalf, then we do not represent you and you should not assume that we are taking any action for you.  The choice of a lawyer is an important decision and should not be based solely on advertisements.  Client may be responsible for costs and expenses, even if no attorney’s fee is due.

You should always bear in mind that legal claims are subject to various deadlines and time limits, including statutes of limitations. These requirements vary from case to case. In some types of cases, you are required to file a notice, complaint or other document with a government agency, and in some you are required to undergo mediation prior to filing a lawsuit. If any of these deadlines pass without a claimant’s having performed all necessary actions (which can vary greatly from case to case, but at a minimum generally include filing a formal complaint or lawsuit by a certain deadline), you will permanently and forever lose the right to take action. In some cases these deadlines are as short as a few months, and in some cases they are many years. If you intend to pursue a claim, you should hire a law firm as quickly as possible so that they can protect your rights.
